About Therapy

What can I expect from therapy?

Therapy is a safe, non-judgmental space where we explore your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. It’s not about quick fixes but about meaningful change, whether that’s understanding yourself better, finding new ways to cope, or working through deeper emotional challenges.

How do I know if therapy is right for me?

If you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or struggling with something, whether it's anxiety, self-doubt, relationship difficulties, or just a general sense that something isn’t right, therapy can help. It’s not just for people in crisis; it’s also for personal growth and self-discovery. If you're unsure, we can have a free consultation to see if it feels like a good fit.

How long does therapy take?

Therapy length depends on your needs:

  • Short-term therapy (6–12 sessions): Focuses on specific issues with structured tools.

  • Longer-term therapy: Allows for deeper exploration and long-lasting change.
We’ll check in regularly to ensure therapy remains helpful and relevant to you.

What if I don’t know what to talk about in therapy?

That’s completely okay! You don’t need to have everything figured out before starting. Some people come in with a clear issue, while others just feel stuck or unsure about what’s wrong. We can explore that together, and I’ll guide the process so that it doesn’t feel overwhelming.

What kind of therapy do you offer?

I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) while integrating elements from Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Schema Therapy, and Gestalt Therapy as needed. This ensures therapy is tailored to you, rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.

Practical Questions

Do you offer online or onsite therapy?

Currently I only offer online sessions. Online sessions are conducted through a secure video platform, making therapy accessible no matter where you are.

Are online therapy sessions as effective as in-person sessions?

Yes! Research shows that online therapy can be just as effective as in-person therapy for many concerns, including anxiety, depression, and stress. The key is having a comfortable and private space where you can speak freely. Many people even prefer online sessions because they’re more convenient and accessible. If you're unsure, we can discuss any concerns and see what works best for you!

What languages do you offer therapy in?

I provide therapy in English and Greek.

How much does a session cost?

If finances are a concern, let’s talk, I believe that therapy must be accessible and I may be able to offer a sliding scale or suggest alternative resources.

Do you accept insurance?

I'm an out-of-network provider, which means I’m not directly contracted with any insurance companies.

Insurance can sometimes limit how many sessions you can have or which therapists you can see, and I believe therapy should go at your own pace, not on someone else’s timeline. I encourage you to reach out to your insurance company to obtain information regarding your out-of-network benefits.

What is your cancellation policy?

  • Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance.

  • If an emergency arises, please contact me as soon as possible.

What if I need to take a break from therapy?

That’s absolutely okay. Life happens, and sometimes you may need to pause therapy. We can discuss the best way to do this, whether it's taking a short break or scheduling check-in sessions as needed.

How do I book a session?

You can schedule a session by contacting me here or using the online booking system. If you have questions before starting, feel free to reach out.

What will happen after I book a session?

Once you book a session, I will review your message and send you an email to confirm the best time for me to call you. During the phone call, we’ll discuss basic details such as what brought you to therapy, your goals, and any other important information. After our call, we’ll schedule our first appointment, which will be an assessment session. This session will help us explore whether we are a good fit to work together and if I can offer the support you need.
