Panic Attack or Anxiety Attack?

The reason I’m making this post is because I’ve noticed that many people feel confused when they experience intense symptoms of anxiety or a panic attack. Not knowing the difference, they sometimes turn desperately to Google or ChatGPT for answers. Unfortunately, this can lead to trying the wrong coping strategies (like using relaxation techniques during a panic attack) only to panic even more when those techniques don’t seem to work.


Sometimes mental health can be complex to navigate, particularly when different conditions share similar symptoms. While panic attacks and anxiety attacks are frequently mentioned as if they're identical, they're actually distinct experiences. Understanding what sets them apart can make all the difference in finding the right support and way forward.
